My boyfriend and I started the year well and we did a little trip to Brussels. Close to home, but a little getaway is always nice! I knew the Pillows hotel by name, but have never been there so I had no idea what to expect.
The Pillows hotel opened in January 2017 in Amsterdam, and a few months later this hotel in Brussels. Later, they opened in Ghent and Zwolle. Pillows hotel is really going for a personal service and insists that every customer enjoys an individual treatment and you really notice that. On arrival they immediately offered us a drink and some snacks in the lounge and we felt immediately welcome. We were also given some info about Brussels and nice places.
After our drink and snack in the lounge, we were escorted to our room and we also got some explanation about the room. The rooms are really spacious and very clean and nicely decorated. For me, the food was the highlight of the stay. We got a three course menu ( Costs only 37,50 Euro p.p ) and the nice thing about it was that it was already assembled for us. That way we have eaten things that we normally would never choose. The starter was salmon, and the plate was super nicely presented. Super Instagram worthy but also really tasty . As main course we had pheasant. We have never eaten this before but we both really enjoyed this food. If you do not immediately plan to spend the night in Brussels, it is definitely worth to visit this restaurant. You will certainly not regret it!
After a good night's sleep, it was time for breakfast. I always look forward to breakfast at every hotel stay, and Pillows hotel certainly didn't disappoint. You are escorted to your table and there they serve a delicious juice, warm drink of your choice and different sandwiches and pastries and a plate of fresh fruit. They also make some eggs if you want. You are not going to leave hungry at Pillows hotel!
